Decadent drinking chocolate with a boutique vibe for discerning fans.
A boutique brand by coffee entrepreneur David Burton, named after his father Jack. These two drinking chocolate products are rich and decadent, differentiating them from similar products in the marketplace. The packaging had to be the same, a boutique look with heritage cues and a sense of the quality product inside. I chose rich brown colours with subtle hue variation to differentiate between the two varietals. Use of an antique silver foil was used to differentiate between the varying price points.
The Jack’s logo was part of the design project, likewise their coffee bean packaging. Jack’s coffee is home delivered and David wanted to keep a postage stamp graphic used on the original bag. This inspired a design direction that incorporated an old fashioned typewriter and rubber stamps.
